AROMATIC
BLENDS
All tobaccos are aromatic. When we
call a blend “Aromatic” we mean that the blend
is flavored with various sugars, tobacco extracts and essences. These “casings” are
sometimes misunderstood. They are added to tobaccos
for mildness, richness, taste and all around better pipe
smoking. Casings never cheapen tobaccos-they are expensive
and are put into tobaccos with loving care.
BLEND #255
Cube cut for long and cool smoking…excellent
aroma…just a little on the sweet side…if the
blend fells on the dry side, this is the way we want it to
be. This blend was created in 1937, has never been
changed, and always is right up there as a best seller. Excellent
to blend half and half with Blend #71 or Par Shooter.
HOUSE OF UHLE BLEND
A great mellow blend, Black Cavendish with hints
of maple and vanilla…not too sweet, but just sweet
enough.
BLEND #300
Cube cut with Honey-Hive flavoring. You can
smoke it day in and day out and never tire of the flavor. What
can you say about a blend like this in a short space…it’s
a real elegant smoke. Too good to blend with anything
else.
HUNT CLUB BLEND
Chocolate flavored, crimp cut White Burley…easy,
real mild smoking. Especially a good warm weather
smoker.
WHITE CAVENDISH BLEND
A superb blend of selected AA White Highland Burley,
processed into Cavendish Tobacco by adding Kentucky Bourbon. Pressed
plug cut for slow burning. This is a very light aromatic,
true smoke…extremely low in tars…just be careful
not to smoke too much when you get a fine blend such as this.
OLD SHOE BLEND
“Just as comfortable as an old shoe.” A
pure Cavendish blend topped with whiskey with a bit of added
richness.
IRISH AROMATIC BLEND
A rich long cut of Burley, Cavendish, Virginia,
Turkish and Latakia tobaccos. These leaves are enhanced
with the clean aroma of an Irish essence. Notice how
dry and clean this fine blend smokes in your pipe. If
you blend with any other tobaccos-blend half and half with
our White Cavendish Blend.
CRUSHED WHITE BURLEY
The same blend of tobaccos as our long favorite
Blend #255, only a slight bit less aromatic. Almost
a true White Burley natural taste yet ever so slightly aromatic
for grand aroma…you’ll like it even if you’re
a non-aromatic smoker.
WILD CHERRY BLEND
A popular blend and easy on the tongue…high-quality
Cavendish topped with fruit flavor and mixed with bright
Virginia for body.
MARQUETTE BLEND
Chocolate Burley with Virginia and Black Cavendish…a
good starting smoke…note the hint of caramel. Great
room aroma.
PRIDE O’ WISCONSIN BLEND
Two Virginia blends meld with a resulting clean
and lightly flavored smoke…burns well and has just
a hint of peach brandy.
PAR SHOOTER BLEND
A blend that’s soft to the touch as well as
the tongue. Great vanilla and caramel essences blended
with Black Cavendish and Burley. As good as a beautiful
and easy round of golf.
SEVEN STAR BIG DIPPER
This golden Cavendish mixture provides a rich vanilla
taste and great body. A smooth, steady smoke with an
excellent aroma.
KAREN CLUB
A beautiful, semi-rough cut, full aromatic. Dark,
rich Burleys sprinkled with Golden Virginia Flake. So
wonderfully pleasant for the other person but far from over-bearing.
BLACK STOKER
Plenty of pure Black Cavendish with a bit of sweet
Burley. Rich and elegant, this is a best-seller and
an all-time favorite for its taste and aroma.
BJ’S CAVENDISH
This new blend…lots of work…interesting
and good…best grade of Cavendish ribbon cut cased
with…we’ll let you guess…it’s a
berry fruit.
BLEND “X”
This is a terrible name for such a great mixture…a
full-flavored blend with the classic taste of an after-dinner

NON-AROMATIC BLENDS
NON-AROMATIC TOBACCOS are aromatic only in
their own true aroma. These blends rely on the careful proportions of the tobaccos to achieve their taste and aroma.
BLEND #71
Our second oldest
blend…rough cut for slow burning…AA
Highland Burley, sweet golden Virginia, Latakia and
burned Cavendish. Excellent to combine this blend with
Blend #255.
PERFECTION PLUG BURLEY
A
true “Puritan” cut plug White Burley. Excellent
and mild to smoke just as is, it can also be used as a base
to blend your own favorite mixture.
BLEND #232
Our 3rd oldest
blend named after the address of our first retail store. Latakia,
Monopoly Turkish and Virginia (golden and red)…a naturally
sweet, nutty flavor. Blends
such as 232 smoke best in brisk weather and smoke worst on
hot, humid days.
BLEND #303
A combination
of Blend #71 and Blend #232. This blend
was created for summer smoking when 232 gets just a little
heavy. The Burley in the Blend #71 smokes extremely
easy in the hot summer days.
BLEND #114
A combination
blend of #71 and Bishop’s Move. By
marrying cube cut pressed dark Burleys with the rich English
type blend Bishop’s Move, we feel we have gained the
smoker whose taste leans towards Turkish, Lemon Virginia,
Latakia, and Perique…but it not quite ready for the
English Mixtures.
BLEND #44
A light Virginia
Flake blend with the trifle natural sweet, woody taste. Experiment
mixing Big Dipper Blend with #44…one part Big Dipper
and 2 parts #44…it’s
a real treat. When you feel you want just a little
more of an aromatic taste…leave it alone…that’s
exactly enough aromatic…always want a little more
but never reach the climax of your aromatic taste.
GOLDEN SHAG BLEND
Take your
classic trinity of English blends-Latakia, Perique, and Turkish-and
add Virginia and a bit of fire-cured Black Cavendish. What
results is a signature blend with layers of depth and taste,
all the while maintaining the hallmark of consistency.
BISHOP’S MOVE BLEND
Finest
long cut blend of tobaccos we manufacture. The
base is Monopoly Turkish plus Golden Virginia, Latakia,
and a wee bit of Perique. You’ll want to smoke
it all day…may we suggest you keep it for evenings,
Sundays, and Holidays and smoke blends such as #71, #303, #232
or #44 during the working hours.
